People keep asking me what it’s like to have four kids now. I tell them—the same as having three kids. Except sometimes I get really lucky and things like this happen:
The dark hair belongs to a doll. The light hair does not.
It belongs to my three year old mullet head child:
So after I cried and cried, I called my hair stylist and got her an appointment to fix the self-inflicted disaster.
We’ve had unauthorized cutting in the past, but never on this scale. I realize that hair grows, but when you lose about 8 inches, and it only grows about a 1/2 inch per month, that means it is going to take almost a year and a half to grow back to where it was. Eternity to a 3 year old. And me.

That is the most thorough unauthorized hair cutting job I've seen. Wow. And I love that she was doing it with her doll. It actually would have been fun to watch if the consequences weren't so long lasting.
By the way, I love short hair on little girls, and I tried to keep my girls hair short as long as I could. She looks darling.
It is so good that she is so beautiful. She does not need her long hair to make her that pretty. She has those beautiful big Beucher (is that how you spell it?) eyes.
Oh, and is it legal for a newborn to be so cute? Love the name. I want to call him Hal. Like Elder Eyring.

Oh my goodness! Annika is the only one of my kids that did the little cutting thing, but she really only snipped once or twice before I caught her (thank heavens!). Blessings in heaven girl...just remember that!
