X is for X-Ray.

Cool!  I was able to copy and past the images from the x-rays.   The top one was from the day they admitted us (the second week), and the bottom is from a couple days ago.  So in my limited knowledge as an x-ray technician, I’ll explain what you are looking at: in the top picture, look at her left lung (on the right side of the picture), and see how the dark area at the top is so much smaller than the dark area on the left?  That is the part of her lung that has air in it.  The rest of the “white space” underneath is either filled with fluid or being compressed by the fluid on the outside of her lung.  Now look at the second picture.  See how both dark spaces on either side look fairly equal in size?

Did you also notice her mouth in the top picture?  Think she was crying much?  The doctor also pointed out how her trachea is being pushed to the right (left in the picture) from the lung being squished by the fluid.

Isn’t technology cool?  I mean, I know that x-rays have been around for a loooooooong time, but still, COOL!
